The Leibnitz-Institute for Baltic Sea Research Warnemünde is dedicated to inter-disciplinary coastal and marine research on: human activities, interventions and measures in coastal and marine systems; the implementation of marine and coastal policy; and impacts of as well as response and adaptation to regional changes. With broad experience along the topic of marine litter and many experts in this area at TouMaLi Leibnitz Institute is the co-project leader and lead in topics related to the monitoring concept, pollution assessment, emission source identification, training of experts and researchers.
