In November this year, the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) took place in Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt.

We are still very happy to share that TouMaLi could participate and present the joint statement developed at the TouMaLi International Conference 2022 in two sessions!

Prof. Gasser represented TouMaLi in the first session with the title “Reduction of single-use plastics bags consumption in Egypt, strategy and expected outcomes“ in the Blue Zone. For the second session, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdelwahed Abdelbary had the opportunity to speak about the impact of tourism on environmental pollution and waste management. The session was part of the Green Zone with the title “Raising the African coordination and awareness on waste to reduce effects on natural ecosystems”. We are very happy to participate and share our point of view in these high-level meetings and look forward to concrete actions.
