PRESS RELEASES in Egypt on the International TouMaLi conference in Alexandria

Successful TouMaLi conference in Egypt comes to an end. On October 10 & 11, 2022, all TouMaLi project partners gathered in Alexandria at the first international conference of the project.

Besides presentations on insides and strategies against marine litter control and the design of a more sustainable waste management system in the partner countries, international projects regarding Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), sustainable tourism, and plastic pollution were discussed in order to create action guidelines for the way forward in MENA regions.

Highlight of the conference was certainly the announcement of TouMaLi Company Egypt. First insights were given on the technical and organization concept of TouMaLi company to contribute to sound waste management in the pilot region Alexandria.
